The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature is the Middle East’s largest celebration of the written and spoken word, bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together with authors from across the world to promote education, debate and above all else, love of reading and writing.
We would like to invite you to become a supporter and integral part of this Festival by signing up as a Festival Friend. This gives you an enhanced Festival experience and benefits as well as access to literary events and year-round engagements at our permanent home, Dar Al Adaab (House of Literature) in Bastakiya. Your contribution goes directly to Festival development.
Membership lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase. There are three levels of membership.
Friends (Level 1)
Single adult membership (for 18 years and over): AED 120 per yearCouples' adult membership (for 18 years and over): AED 180 per year

- 10% off all tickets: Enjoy a discount when you use your registered account to purchase tickets
- Priority booking: Purchase tickets online before the general public and get first view of the Festival Programme - Festival Friends can purchase tickets online from 17 January, the general public from 24 January

- Festival Friends Lounge: Where you can relax between sessions, with comfortable seating, tea, coffee and snacks
- Lounge Privileges for Friends of Friends: Every Festival Friend can bring ONE friend/companion on payment of AED 50 per day for lounge facilities *
- Reserved seating for Friends at Festival sessions **
- Invitations to special events at Dar Al Adaab throughout the year.
Friends Plus (Level 2)
Friends Plus (Two adults and two children): AED 500 per yearLevel 2 Benefits
- All benefits of Friends (Level 1) membership
AND - Friends Event at Dar Al Adaab, Bastakiya: invitation to our permanent home, a traditional windtower house, and a preview of the Festival Programme
- Acknowledgment in our programme***

Friends Premium (Level 3)
Friends Premium (Two adults and two children): AED 1000 per yearLevel 3 Benefits
- All benefits of Friends (Level 2) membership
AND - Two invitations to the Closing Night Dinner.****
Young Friends
Level 1 Benefits
- Young Friends are entitled to all Level 1 benefits
- Young Friends memberships expire at the same time as the adult account to which they are attached
Terms and conditions:
*Coupons will be available at the ticket counter – one 50 AED coupon per Friend only, per day.
**Limited seats will be held until five minutes before doors close and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
*** Provided membership has been confirmed on or before December 15 2011.
**** Young Friends are not eligible for this invitation. Seats are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
All memberships are non-transferable.
The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature reserves the right to amend or withdraw privileges and add benefits to the Friends membership and may close any or all levels of memberships at any time.
