Event 165 Friday 12 March 3pmDeira International School, Room BFiction
writers know their characters well – where they were born, how they
feel about their lives, the colour of their socks. But fiction writers
are not in the business of biography. They can’t simply tell the reader
about the people who populate the imaginary world; subtler techniques
must be found. Of these techniques, dialogue is the most immediate.
