Alia Alshamsi is an Emirati-Italian author and artist. She was a former adjunct faculty at the American University of Sharjah who taught photography and with past work experiences in journalism and in the arts and culture sector across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
Al Shamsi has represented the UAE in several international art exhibitions and as a speaker at international book fairs. She currently works at the Louvre Abu Dhabi where she creates and develops all the cultural program of the museum and is an advocate of cultural bridging.
