Bushra Khalfan
Bushra Khalfan is an Omani storyteller, novelist, poet, essayist, and cultural activist. She has published a number of collections of stories, novels and poetry including Rumman’s Lover, Al-Bagh, Where No One Knows Me, What We Need to Be a Home, and contributed to Amman: Reflections from the Not So Far Past – written by the American writer and photographer Eugene H. Johnson, in addition to preparing and writing some episodes for the cartoon series Day by Day. Bushra is a founding member of the Omani Writers Association since 2006, director of the Omani Narrative Lab and has chaired the Story Writers’ Family in the Literary and Creativity Committee of the Omani Cultural Club. Bushra has also participated as a jury member in a number of literary competitions, including the publications of the novel branch of the Omani Writers Association, the Ministry of Higher Education's Short Story Competition in Arabic and English and the Omani Book Association's Short Story Competition. Dilshad is her latest book and was published in 2021 by Takween Publications.
