Fatima Sultan Al Mazrouei is a writer, novelist, poet and storyteller and is Head of the Historical Archives Department at the National Archives of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs in the UAE.
Fatima writes in a variety of genres including novels, literary criticism, articles, film, theatre, children's stories, and poetry. She has contributions in many cultural and social magazines columns and local newspapers, including Al-Ru'ya, titled Full-stop from the First Line, and Al-Bayan newspaper.
She has more than 20 publications ranging from poetry, theatre, novels to articles. Fatima has also participated in many cultural evenings and scientific conferences and has given many workshops in writing stories, novels and children's stories in cooperation with various cultural institutions in the UAE.
Her literary works were translated to various languages including English, German, French, Kurdish, Urdu, and Malayalam.
She won literary and cultural nineteen prizes the most significant of which are the Al Owais Prize for Best Creative and Cultural Work in 2013 for the novel Al Atma, the Sheikha Shamsa Bint Suhail Prize for Literature and Culture in 2013 and the Emirates Prize for Fiction in 2017 for her novel My Other Story.
