Ahmed Mourad is an Egyptian writer, born in Cairo. He graduated from the Lycée El Horreya in Bab El Louk in 1996, before joining the Higher Institute of Cinema, Department of Cinematography. Mourad graduated in 2001, ranked first in the department, and his graduation films The Wanderers, The Three Papers, and On the Seventh Day won short film awards at festivals in England, France, and Ukraine.
In January 2022, Mourad released the book Murder for Beginners, a book specialized in the art of writing the cinematic script, and it contains the script of the second part of the Blue Elephant.
