Shaikha Almeteiri

Shaikha Almeteiri holds a BA in Arabic language and a MA in Library and Information Science. She is also a PhD candidate in History and Islamic Civilization.

Almeteiri is the Head of the Department of National Culture and Documents at the Juma Al Majid Centre for Culture and Heritage. She holds the title of Abu Dhabi Ambassador in the celebrity category. She writes eloquent poetry and has received numerous awards including the Sheikha Shamsa Bint Suhail Award for Creative Women, the Italian Golden Feather Award, and the Arab Achievers Award in Sharm El Sheikh 2016. She was the runner up for the Prince of Poets competition in 2019. She won first place in the 2022 Sharjah Prize for Gulf Women's Creativity in Poetry. Her poems has been translated into English, French, German, Portuguese and Russian.
