Nandakumar K
After completing his master’s degree in Economics, Nandakumar K. started his career as a sub-editor at Financial Express, followed by stints in international marketing and general management in India and abroad. Having travelled in over fifty countries, he claims he can speak enough German and French to save his life. Strangely, using a borrowed dictionary, his tryst with translation started with a scientific paper in French on blood diseases of fishes which he did for his sister-in-law.

His co-translation of M. Mukundan’s Delhi Gadhakal, Delhi A Soliloquy won the 2021 JCB Award for Literature.

His other translations are: A Thousand Cuts, the autobiography of Prof T. J. Joseph and In the Name of the Lord, the autobiography of Sr Lucy Kalapura. He is the grandson of Mahakavi Vallathol Narayana Menon. Nandakumar lives in Dubai and works for a shipping line as a Business Analyst.
