Ghizlan Guenez is an Algerian entrepreneur and the Founder of The Modist, the first global luxury ecommerce platform curated for modest fashion, with over 200 leading fashion brands. It has been featured in numerous global publications including the Financial Times, the New York Times, Vogue, Vogue Arabia, Forbes, and made the Fast Company’s 2019 and 2020 lists for the World’s Most Innovative Companies.

Guenez is also the Co-founder of Queen Mode, a collection of 9,999 NFTs that aim to bring more women into Web 3.0. With utility and value creation for the community at its core, Queen Mode has a long-term vision of sharing value with its members and driving social change through its mission to empower choice. She is also the Founder of FForce, an edu-tech platform providing knowledge through courses for women in entrepreneurship, and is the Co-Creator of SAWA, an initiative that supports young creatives in the Middle East region.

In 2018, Guenez was named one of the 500 People Shaping the Global Fashion Industry list by Business of Fashion.

Guenez has resided in Dubai and the Middle East for most of her life, and holds a first class BSc degree from the London School of Economics. Before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey, she spent 15 years in private equity, cultivating her experience in partnerships development in emerging markets.
