Rissa Mananquil Trillo
Rissa Mananquil Trillo is an award-winning Filipina entrepreneur, author and UN Women advocate who is regarded as a pioneer for homegrown beauty businesses in the Philippines. She co-founded skin-caring makeup brand Happy Skin in 2013. Under her leadership, the brand won over 40 beauty awards and pioneered collaborations with global brands like Disney, Sanrio, and Havaianas, as well as with Filipina personalities like Heart Evangelista and Kathryn Bernardo.

In 2017, she was awarded as Woman Entrepreneur of the Year (PH) by Ernst & Young and SGV Philippines. She was also recognized by the local entrepreneurship platform Go Negosyo as Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneur of 2018. Her business insights are shared in her bestselling book, Read My Lips: What It Takes to Build a World-Class Homegrown Brand. After 8 years, she made a business decision to exit Happy Skin in October 2021. Shortly after, she was named Asia’s Most Influential by Tatler for her contributions to Philippine fashion and beauty.

Mananquil Trillo is a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University and earned her Executive MBA at the Asian Institute of Management. In her pursuit to advance women empowerment and sustainability, she has been working with UN Women to promote gender equality through the Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs). She is also a Business Sustainability Management alumnus from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
