Rola Nader Al-Banna is a literary agent and cultural activist who believes that reading and knowledge are the best way to enhance individual awareness. She established many cultural initiatives and reading clubs in the UAE, including the Read Emirati Literature campaign to encourage access to Emirati creative publications at all levels. It was the first Arabic book blog adopted by the Kinokuniya Library in the UAE to display its reviews on Arabic books.
She is the owner of Rola Company for Literary Agency and Publishing Consultancy, which is the first of its kind in the UAE. She interviewed more than 30 Arab writers, most notably Waciny Laredj, Ibrahim Nasrallah, Buthaina Essa, Saud Al-Sanousi, Jalal Barjas, Nadia Al-Najjar, and Eman Al-Youssef.
