Sanam Yaqub
Sanam Yaqub is an educator, executive coach and mentor, with extensive teaching and leadership experience working within the UK and UAE education sectors. She is currently the School Partnership Strategies Manager at the University of Birmingham Dubai as well as the EDI lead for the campus, championing the implementation of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. Sanam is passionate about driving the University’s commitment to creating and maintaining an inclusive learning and working environment for all.

At a strategic level, Sanam works with school leaders and authorities to establish strategic partnerships with a view to developing Initial Teacher Education and Continued Professional Development Programmes for educators in the UAE. Having been involved in Coaching in Education for several years, Sanam is also a member of the University’s Coaching Academy and supports the development of colleagues through coaching. She inherently believes that coaching is one of the most powerful strategies to leverage unlocking an individual’s potential and maximising performance.

Sanam’s current research interest is in the field of Teacher Education and specifically the impact of mentoring and coaching conversations to enhance reflective practice. She has recently completed an MSc in Teacher Education at the University of Oxford.
