Our panel investigates the critical role imaginative fiction plays in understanding, defining and preserving one’s sense of identity, and discusses how they approach identity in their own writing.
Dr Shereen Abouelnaga is an Egyptian author, literary critic and professor at Cairo University - Egypt.
Shahad Al Rawi is an Iraqi author, the youngest female author to be shortlisted for the IPAF 2018 for her first book “The Baghdad Clock”.
Jabbour Douaihy is a Lebanese writer. His novel ''The Vagrant'' was shortlisted for IPAF 2012 and has been translated into several languages.
