Professor of Literature at NYU Abu Dhabi Paulo Lemos Horta discusses a brand-new translation of this beloved folktale that celebrates all the darkness and whimsy you’d expect from a story of a rebellious teenager who is rescued from a double-crossing sorcerer by the wits of a princess.
