Who did not watch the classic children’s programmes of the seventies, eighties and nineties? Children’s television walks a fine line of entertaining children while also educating them and encouraging positive behaviour.

Our speakers will discuss the influence – positive and negative – that TV can exert on children’s development and the forces that shape the kind of programmes that are aired.

Rania Zbib Daher is an award-winning YA & children’s author, and former TV director and producer. She has published more than 40 children’s books.

Amna Al Mansouri is an Emirati author who has written screenplays for the cartoon series “Freej” and “Freej Folklore”.
