Friday 8 March is International Women’s Day. To celebrate we have gathered a panel of extraordinary speakers to discuss the global movement for gender equality.

Named “Young Arab of the Year” in 2016 for her work in youth advocacy, literature, and journalism, Dubai Abulhoul is author of Galagolia, the first Emirati fantasy novel in English, as well as a series of books for younger children on Emirati folklore. She writes for The Gulf Today and Al Bayan on issues related to youth, culture, and literature.

Motivational speaker and philanthropist Zelda la Grange is the author of Good Morning, Mr. Mandela, a memoir on her time as private secretary to Nelson Mandela for over 19 years, and is the Patron for the First for Women Foundation.

Rana Nawas is a corporate veteran, speaker and host of iTunes’ #1 podcast in the Middle East: When Women Win. She is the president of Ellevate Dubai, a chapter of the world’s oldest businesswomen’s network.

Katherine Ormerod is the founder of Work Work Work, an anti-perfectionism project which aims to reveal and explore the non-edited challenges that women face behind the fantasy of social media. She is the author of Why Social Media is Ruining Your Life.
