In this session, poet and author Awad Al Darmaki speaks about his historical novel writing experience and takes us on a journey full of love & sacrifice into the world of poet Abu al-Hasan Ali Ibn Zuraiq Al-Baghdadi, who was beaten by disappointment, sorrow, homesickness and regret after reciting his only lines of poetry.

Awad Al Darmaki is an Emirati poet and writer who recently published the historical fiction novel “Don’t Hurt Him”, a biography about the life of the Abbasid poet Ibn Zuraiq Al-Baghdadi.
