The Five Senses: How to give Narrative a Life: Writing Workshop with Huzama Habayeb

The Five Senses: How to give Narrative a Life: Writing Workshop with Huzama Habayeb

Date/Time: Friday 8 March, 1pm-3pm

Venue: Al Rimal, InterContinental, DFC

Language: Arabic

Session No: 838

Writing with your senses means you have to really take the time to see, hear, feel, smell, or taste what you are trying to write about. If you can’t experience the subject with all your senses when you are writing about it, then your readers certainly won’t be able to either.

Join Huzama Habayeb for an engaging writing workshop aimed at awakening what is sometimes called the ‘writer’s instinct’: training aspiring writers to improve description by using the five senses not just for observation and inspiration, but also on paper.

The tutor: Huzama Habayeb a Palestinian, novelist and winner of the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature 2017 for her novel Velvet.
