Session No: 111
Come and hear what three writers of fantasy fiction have to say about the influence of real-world history on their work, from prehistoric times, to Sufi mystics and Samurai, to Victorian Britain and beyond. Leo Carew is the author of The Wolf, which applies his study of biological anthropology to an epic battle between two very different warring tribes. He is joined by Courtney Brandt who has recently completed a new steampunk series set in Victorian England, and Rehan Khan, author of historical fiction and fantasy whose Last of the Tasburai series takes inspiration from Sufism and Samurai culture.
