The Race to Space: The Story of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre charts the evolution of the UAE's space programme, from the law establishing the Centre to the launch of Khalifasat, the first satellite designed and built entirely by Emiratis, to the UAE Astronaut Programme and the rapidly-approaching mission to Mars.

Salem Al Marri, Assistant Director General for Scientific and Technical Affairs, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), will be joined by Hazzaa Ali AlMansoori and Sultan Saif AlNeyadi, the UAE’s two professional astronauts – one of whom will soon travel to the International Space Station – in their first public appearance.

The panel will be moderated by Isobel Abulhoul, CEO of the Emirates Literature Foundation.
