In January this year the Emirates Literature Foundation launched a playwriting course run by UAE-based playwright and screenwriter Alex Broun bringing together ten local writers to explore the craft of writing for the theatre. In this session local actors will bring excerpts from the writers’ plays to life to aid the writers in taking the next steps of developing and refining their plays. Plays will be read by Sabeena Ahmed, Deborah Bond, Andrea Gissdal, Aishwarya Harikrishnan, Brenda Hutchings, Julia Johnson, Maria Makri, Tvisha Mehra, Edwige Narbey and Padmini Sankar.
