Crime Comics 101: Workshop with @momoarchive

Following the theme of horror and things that occur after dark, participants will have to draw a crime – silly or otherwise – that can frighten and entertain on a single page. Beginning with a crash course on what comics are and how to make them followed by a brainstorm of each participant’s single page crime idea. You will then be ready to thumbnail and pencil that page!
The tutor: Mohammad Alshaibani was born in Dubai and is an Emirati comic book artist. He received his Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from the American University of Sharjah and his Master of Fine Arts in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Mohammad resides in Dubai where his drawing time is divided between finishing pages, publishing indie comics, and chasing his nieces for his materials.
