Off The Page will be a poetry workshop for beginning poets & advanced poets alike, who would like to examine how the poem can work off the page. You can bring a poem in which we will examine for its ability to be performed, or write a poem in the workshop. Then we will all perform our poems together using ideas and techniques generated in the workshop.
The tutor: Poet Sascha A Akhtar has performed her work at Rotterdam Poetry Festival, London International Poetry Festival, Verve Poetry Festival, Southbank Meltdown Festival ( w/Yoko Ono). Her performances have been much touted as she employs techniques of physicality & theatre in her work.
