The glamour, intrigue and cosmopolitan counter-culture in 1920s Cairo are centre stage in this fascinating conversation with award-winning editor, translator and academic Raphael Cormack, author of Midnight in Cairo – the divas of Egypt’s Roaring Twenties.

Come and hear the story of a city that was put on the front page with the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb, and the theatre, cabaret and nightlife that blossomed against the backdrop of violent political turmoil.
