Movie and theatre legend Brian Cox, best known for his role as media magnate Logan Roy in Succession, will be at the LitFest to tell a rags-to-riches tale like no other – his life story. Cox’s candid memoir captures his distinctive voice and his very soul. From his troubled, working-class Scottish upbringing to becoming one of the most distinguished Shakespearean actors of his generation, and an exceptionally versatile star of TV and film, his story is crammed full of anecdotes about acting, his showbiz life and the many stars he has worked with. Brian Cox has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Royal National Theatre, gaining recognition for his portrayal of King Lear. His many film and TV performances include the chilling portrayal of Hannibal Lecter in the 1986 movie, Manhunter.
