His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed says: “The future begins today, not tomorrow”. UAE's smart leadership vision has enabled this nation to achieve incredible feats, and its forward-thinking outlook has turned it into a leading nation.
The UAE is working to provide revolutionary solutions in the fields of health, education programs, happiness indicators, soft power, attracting investments, international relations, and cultural diplomacy.
The country has played a crucial role in hosting global initiatives in the health, education, and culture sectors in recent years. In addition to the undeniable hard work behind developing the UAE Centennial Plan 2071 and hosting Expo 2020, it has also ventured into trailblazing sustainable initiatives such as the sustainable Expo City Dubai, hosting the 2023 UN Climate Change Conference (COP 28) and becoming the first country in the region to host the largest international conference for museums, ICOM 2025.
How can we as intellectuals and creators anticipate a holistically conscious and worthwhile future given the introduction of the Dubai Metaverse Strategy and many other initiatives? What will future cities and emirates look like? What obstacles must we overcome, particularly in the areas of literature, the arts, and culture?
These topics and many more will be discussed by Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Her Excellency Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority.
This session is moderated by Eman Al Yousuf
