Kicking off our Publishing Day is an inspiring keynote talk with Jacks Thomas. Join her as she delves into the world of publishing and the opportunities and challenges ahead as it enters a new digital age, pushes boundaries for diversity and representation, and explores new platforms and avenues in publicity, scouting for new voices and building reading communities.

Jacks Thomas is an international books and culture specialist, with over 25 years’ experience at the heart of publishing. Following a high-profile tenure at the London Book Fair, Thomas was appointed by Bologna Fiere to create and direct BolognaBookPlus, the new general trade extension to the long-established and prestigious Bologna Children’s Book Fair. Thomas is a regular speaker on publishing at leading universities in the UK and overseas, a school governor and an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL. She is also a regular participant in the Speakers for Schools initiative. She has appeared in the Top 100 Influential People in Publishing for over ten years.
