Did you know that 15th century Emirati sea captain Ahmed bin Majid, famously known as the Lion of the Seas, started his maritime journey at the age of ten?

Did you know he excelled in astronomy, mathematics, geography, and literature? And that he invented the marine compass and established the rules of marine science?

Join author Fatima Sharafeddine, writer of the ’Do You Know Who I Am?’ children's series, to discover and celebrate the lives of great historical Arab figures. She will share the stories of those who have had a global impact, including Ahmed Bin Majid. This is the perfect session for the little ones who crave adventure, learning, and excellence.

Fatima Sharafeddine is a writer, translator and editor specialized in children's and young adult literature, working with several publishing houses in Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Belgium; She has published more than 140 books to date, many of which have been translated into different languages, including English, German, Korean, Russian and Hindi. She has won numerous awards and titles at the Arab and international levels.
