Join four acclaimed international authors who excel at telling atmospheric and unsettling stories to find out.
This unique gathering of minds will explore the meaning of the terrifying and the uncanny across different genres and media – miss it at your peril!

The conversation will be chaired by bestselling author Kate Mosse, Founder Director of the influential Women’s Prize for Fiction and known for her multi million selling historical fiction including Labyrinth and The Joubert Family Chronicles, and bestselling non fiction including Warrior Queens & Quiet Revolutionaries: How Women (Also) Built the World.
Budjette Tan is a Filipino writer best known for writing the horror/crime komiks series Trese, co-created with illustrator Kajo Baldisimo. Trese has received the Philippine National Book Award for Best Graphic Literature of the Year across multiple years and has been adapted into an animated series by Netflix. He is also the co-editor and writer of The Lost Journal of Alejandro Pardo and The Black Bestiary. He currently works in Denmark as one of the creative leads in the LEGO Agency.
Catriona Ward is the author of the gothic thriller Sundial, described by Stephen King as ‘authentically terrifying’. Her breakout third novel The Last House on Needless Street was shortlisted for the British Book Awards, the August Derleth Prize and the World Fantasy Award. Esquire has listed it as one of the top 25 best horror novels of all time.
Ragnar Jónasson is the award-winning author of the international bestselling Dark Iceland and Hidden Iceland series. Ragnar translated has 14 Agatha Christie novels into Icelandic, the first when he was 17 years old. Today, he lives in Reykjavik, where he works as a corporate lawyer, and teaches copyright law at Reykjavik University. Jónassan is the cofounder of the Iceland Noir Festival, which is Reykjavik’s first and only international crime fiction festival.
Roger Luckhurst has published widely, specialising in science fiction and the Gothic, with ten books that include cultural histories of science fiction, zombies, mummy curses, telepathy, trauma and corridors. His most recent, Gothic: An Illustrated History, explores the style across a wide range of media, including architecture, literature, and film.
