Malayalam translated literature comes to the LitFest!
Award-winning author M. Mukundan’s highly regarded 2011 novel Delhi Gadhakal gained a whole new audience in 2021 when the English translation, Delhi: A Soliloquy, won the 2021 JCB Prize. Writing since the 1960s, Mukundan has witnessed great social transformations in Kerala and throughout India, inspiration for his 19 previous novels and eight short story collections. In this session– a first for the Emirates LitFest – he will discuss the Malayali migrant experience within India and beyond its borders.
This session is moderated by George Jose
As you plan your day at the Festival, please take into consideration that it takes between 30-60 mins to commute between the Intercontinental, Festival City and Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.
