Jekar Khourchid is a Syrian writer and poet, who has published over than 300 children’s books. He also writes for many children's magazines, most notably: Majid , Al-Araby Al-Sagheer, Ahmed Magazine, Osama Al-Hayat, among others. He won the 2006 Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity. He was also nominated for the 2022 Arab Children’s Book Publisher Forum Award. He currently resides in The Hague, Netherlands.
