Venue: 4th Floor Conference Room 10, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, Al Jaddaf - Dubai

Podcasts, magazines and websites are an essential part of the literary landscape. Sources of criticism and connection, they foster new communities and offer ways for readers to discover beloved new writers, and platforms for emerging writers to develop their craft and reach new audiences. Running these podcasts, magazines and websites can be tremendously rewarding -- and also a lot of work! Who can help produce your podcast? Where do you find funding for a magazine? How can you launch a literary website?
Join Marcia Lynx Qualey, co-host of the BULAQ podcast and founder of ArabLit.org and ArabLit Quarterly, as she talks through starting up a literary platform. What resources are out there and how can you tap into them? How can you get submissions? And once they start coming in, how can you best sort through them? Marcia will share her knowledge, followed by a collaborative session to brainstorm starting up new podcasts, websites, and print magazines.
