Good songwriting is a hard skill to learn, but a rewarding one. Whether you are already writing songs or just starting out, Chris Read, musician and songwriter, is here to help you develop those skills in an open, practical workshop that will give attendees a chance to write and perform.
An experienced songwriter and approachable teacher, Chris has generously offered his time to help aspiring songwriters and answer their questions about writing, producing and performing – as well as the delicate question of songwriting for money and how to balance your creative needs with your client’s brief. This is a rare chance to learn how a professional musician approaches both the craft and the business of songwriting – don’t miss out!
Chris Read is a jazz musician, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He has written and performed original music from Montreux Jazz Festival to the Edinburgh Fringe, and recently released his first jazz album.
