The Art of the Short Story – Nailing Character & Setting: Workshop with Farah Ali & Hananah Zaheer
Date/Time: Saturday 4 February 2023 11:30-13:30
Session No: 229
What makes a short story compelling? How do we choose what the beginning should be and where it needs to end? And how do we decide if a story should be a short one in the first place? Hananah Zaheer and Farah Ali will find synergies in their writing and influences while leading a masterclass exploring the elements that help you create short stories with a long-lasting impact.
Hananah Zaheer is a writer, editor, improvisor and photographer. She is the author of the flash chapbook Lovebirds.
Farah Ali is a poet and short story writer whose work has won numerous awards, including the Pushcart Prize in 2020.
