You will have an ocean-astic time with Maitha Al Khayat, the illustrator of Aisha’s Pearl written by Julia Johnson. You will even get the chance to draw along with her - a favorite sea monster. You can catch your breath now!
Pen and pencils will be provided, but children are free to bring along their own sketchpads and colouring pencils.
Dress-up is encouraged. So bring out your mermaid or underwater sea creature costumes and join the fun!
Maitha Al Khayat is a member of a new breed of Emirati superheroes. The mother of five has won literary awards and is one of the UAE’s most prolific Emirati children’s illustrators and writers. In less than 12 years, Maitha has published more than 178 books, which have been translated internationally and are used in schools around the world.
