Date/Time: Sunday 5 February 2023 13:30-14:30
Venue: 4th Floor Conference Room 3, Mohammed Bin Rashid Library, Al Jaddaf - Dubai
Language: English
Session No: 259
When small, daily heartbreaks build up, they can form a deep, soul-destroying sorrow with a greater impact on a character’s life – and the reader’s mind - than one major heartbreak. This is what Hananah Zaheer’s latest book Lovebirds, explores, showing love cracking, shattering and exploding. It’s a bittersweet meditation through twelve short stories moving from Pakistan to America, a chicken coop and even an apocalyptic carbon harvesting tent. Join Hananah as she discusses her book, and the art of short storytelling with a dark twist.
Hananah Zaheer is a writer, editor, improvisor and photographer. She is the author of a flash chapbook Lovebirds.
This session is moderated by Gamze Hakli Geray
