How do translators make a living? What are the challenges that a first-time literary translator faces? What is it like to co-translate a single book?
Translators Iman Hassan Al Hamadi and Sabah Deebi will discuss all this and more, as they introduce their first translated book, The Most Beautiful Women Survivors of Love.
Dr Abdul Nasir Yousuf
Eman Hassan AlHammadi manages library affairs at the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. She is currently working on her MA in Literary and Critical Studies and previously ranked 4th in the leadership skills category presented by Mawarid Finance.
Sabah Deebi is a children’s and YA writer and screenwriter. She worked as a proof-reader and literary editor, and has written over 50 children's stories, published under Dar Ashjar, Dar Al Hudhud, Dar Asala, Kalimat group, and others. Deebi also regularly provides creative writing workshops for children.
