Penn is that girl, and she suddenly finds herself in deadly danger, blamed for sinister events happening around her. Can she fight the evil which descends upon her and find her true family in Midwinter? Join Melanie La’Brooy for an exciting and entertaining LitFest event and discover what inspired her to create Penn and this brand new series of gripping adventures. The perfect session for anyone who feels that they sometimes don’t quite know where they fit into the world.

Melanie La'Brooy is the Australian author of The Wintrish Girl, the funny and exciting first book in her middle-grade fantasy series, Talismans of Fate. This is Melanie’s first novel for children; her five previous books for adults were published in Australia. She now lives in the UAE with her family.
