How do we parent in uncertain and changing times? How do we raise children who are resilient and will grow up to be the kinds of adults we would want them to be? What are the acceptable limits of technology and social media when raising children and teens?
According to Dr Saliha Afridi, a leading Dubai-based clinical psychologist, there are three key areas that parents need to focus on. First, instilling strong values in our children. Second, not overprotecting our children, but letting them use childhood as a training ground for adulthood. Finally, not letting electronics and social media lower our children’s emotional intelligence.
