Society continues to define women in terms of those who are mothers and those who aren’t or can’t be. Motherhood is frequently associated with sacrifice, selflessness, and unconditional love, but is this all that it entails? In a session full of passion, the speakers will discuss the various aspects of motherhood, particularly the stereotypes and struggles that women face today regarding motherhood.

Hala Kazim is a counsellor, artist, author and founder of Journey Through Change, a positive transformation program. Hala studied counselling and coaching in City University, London, UK, and has also received her certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming – Coach and Practitioner from the American Board NLP, London UK.

Dr Pragya Agarwal is a behavioural and data scientist. she is the author of Sway: Unravelling Unconscious Bias and Wish We Knew What to Say: Talking with Children about Race. Sway was picked as a ‘best science book of 2020’, Guardian Book of the Week and was shortlisted for the Transmission Prize.
