The effect of merging history and the art of writing has been known for producing fascinating novels that capture the hearts and minds of readers, but the boundaries of fact and fiction in historical narratives have always been questioned by readers and writers alike. The speakers in this session, a group of experienced authors, will tackle some of the most pressing issues surrounding historical fiction, opening with true definition, the principles governing the narrative process, and the distinction between the event's historiography and its narrative.

Ashraf Al Ashmawi is an Egyptian writer and judge in the Egyptian judiciary. He has published nine novels, the most famous of which are Toya, The Shepherd's Dogs, The Lady of Zamalek, and The Coptic House.

Lulwah Al Mansouri is an Emirati writer, journalist and novelist who writes poetry, novels and short stories. Her short novel, We Got Out of a Mountain, won the Emirates Prize for Fiction.

Sultan AlMousa, a Saudi writer, journalist and researcher in the field of comparison of religions, is considered one of the most famous activists on social networking sites. He published many novels that were admired by readers and critics, such as Aqom Qila and Tathreeb.
