To plot or not to plot? Some bestselling authors say it’s a vital part of the process, others claim it suppresses creativity. This part of the workshop provides an opportunity to consider different approaches and to explore which might work best for you.

Why less really is often more. How to make each sentence and paragraph pack its punch and to tell your story as powerfully as possible.

Jo Browning Wroe has a Master’s in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia is Creative Writing Supervisor at Lucy Cavendish College, Cambridge and teaches at the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education on their Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching Creative Writing. Her debut novel, A Terrible Kindness, was a Sunday Times bestseller and shortlisted for the Bridport/Peggy Chapman-Andrews Award.
