Tanya Shakil Daud

VectorTanya Daud is an Indian-Pakistani theatre artist, filmmaker and curator. Her short documentary, The Absentees on the Rohingya crisis has been picked up by festivals like the DOC NYC, Silk Road in Ireland, Beirut Intl Film Festival, and Let's All Be Free in London. Tanya worked as part of the Social Action Campaign Team in the UAE for the documentary, He Named Me Malala, and also interviewed Malala and Ziauddin Yousafzai. In 2016, she founded Qissa Go, a theatre company focused on storytelling with South Asian literature and languages, where their performances have explored works of several literary figures in the region, as well as, issues of identity, climate crisis, sexism in South Asian literature and more.
