Lucinda Dickens-Hawksley

VectorLucinda Dickens Hawksley is an author, broadcaster, lecturer and award-winning travel writer, who has worked as an interviewee, consultant and presenter on TV and radio shows worldwide. Her most recent books are Letters of Great Women and the upcoming Dickens and Travel (spring 2022). She has written, or co-authored, more than 20 books including the biographies of Victorian artists Kate Perugini (née Dickens), Princess Louise, and Lizzie Siddal, and Dickens and Christmas, Elizabeth Revealed, The Writer Abroad, Bitten by Witch Fever, March, Women, March: How Women Won the Vote and Charles Dickens and his Circle. Lucinda has also written and narrated audioguides and podcasts, including The Real Sherlock, a six-part podcast series about Sir Arthur Conan-Doyle, for Audible. She has also written and narrated, for Audible, the introductions for new recordings of Our Mutual Friend (2018) and The Mystery of Edwin Drood (2019). Lucinda is a great great great granddaughter of Charles and Catherine Dickens, and a patron of the Charles Dickens Museum in London. She is also a patron of the De Morgan Foundation, which focuses on the works of the artists Evelyn De Morgan and William De Morgan.
