My Basket (Rana Dajani
Dr Rana Dajani is a molecular cell biologist with a PhD and a Radcliffe Fellowship from Harvard University. She is a Fulbright Scholar and an Eisenhower Fellow. Dr Dajani was a professor at Jordan's Hashemite University and a visiting professor at Yale and Cambridge, and the Director of Hashemite University's Study Centre. She established a network of support and counselling to help women and put together the first gender conference in the Arab world in 2017. In 2015, she was named the 12th most important Arab woman, and in 2022, she was awarded the Schwab Prize for Social Entrepreneurship. Dr Dajani's book Five Scarves was released in 2018.
